Steps to Upload Google Docs to Build your Knowledge Base:
Download Your Google Doc:
Open the Document: Start by opening the Google Doc you want to upload.
Download the File: Click on
File
in the top-left corner, then hover overDownload
. Choose a compatible format, such as.docx
, to save the document to your computer.Save the Document: Ensure that the document is saved in a location on your computer where you can easily access it later.
Go to Upload Page:
Navigate to the Upload Page: Log in to the descript.io app and either click
Knowledge
in the nav bar or go directly todescript.io/app/knowledge/upload
Upload the File:
(Optional) Add a Source URL:
Enter the URL: Optionally, you can add a source URL that relates to the Google Doc.
Click Upload:
Upload the Document: Click the "Upload" button to add the Google Doc to your knowledge base within Descript.io. The document will be processed and indexed for quick retrieval.
Process Complete:
Confirmation: Once the upload is complete, your Google Doc will be integrated into your knowledge base. You can now easily search for and use the document in your sales engineering processes.
