Add your Google Docs to Descript.io in a few easy steps!

Steps to Upload Google Docs to Build your Knowledge Base:

  1. Download Your Google Doc:

    • Open the Document: Start by opening the Google Doc you want to upload.

    • Download the File: Click on File in the top-left corner, then hover over Download. Choose a compatible format, such as .docx, to save the document to your computer.

    • Save the Document: Ensure that the document is saved in a location on your computer where you can easily access it later.

  2. Go to Upload Page:

    • Navigate to the Upload Page: Log in to the descript.io app and either click Knowledge in the nav bar or go directly to descript.io/app/knowledge/upload

  3. Upload the File:

    • Click "Add Content"

    • Select the File: Click on "Add File" and choose the Google Doc you just downloaded.

  4. (Optional) Add a Source URL:

    • Enter the URL: Optionally, you can add a source URL that relates to the Google Doc.

  5. Click Upload:

    • Upload the Document: Click the "Upload" button to add the Google Doc to your knowledge base within Descript.io. The document will be processed and indexed for quick retrieval.

  6. Process Complete:

    • Confirmation: Once the upload is complete, your Google Doc will be integrated into your knowledge base. You can now easily search for and use the document in your sales engineering processes.
